EXPERIENCE

Linda has over ten years of experience in counselling for alcohol and other drug misuse in Victoria. In 1988 linda developed and implemented an out-patient alcohol and other drug prevention\counselling program for the western communities of Victoria. Linda has facilitated abstinance groups as well as groups for those who are substance effected. Has coordinated educational presentations for schools,and many community and service groups.

Linda has been an active member with the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors since 1989 and held the position of chairperson for continuing education for this association from 1992-1994. Linda is now a delegate counsel member for the b.c. association. For clinical counsellors. As well Linda sits on the board of directors for the Pemberton Detox Clinic in Victoria, and in 1995 was selected practicum supervisor of the year for the psychological foundation at U Vic.

In 19996 Linda was hired for the development,coordination and facilitation of the Full Circle Womene Day Treatment Program by the Dallas society, a non profit organization counselling adult and youth with substance misuse issues in the community. Dallas society also has a prevention school based team as well as a gambling counsellor.
