AssociatesJohn F. Garrett has held leadership positions in physical and chemical oceanography, focusing on ocean conditions and their relation to biological productivity. He has been active in ocean science and science policy development nationally, and in international ocean science coordination and planning. He is experienced in communicating with specialist and non-technical audiences, and in a wide range of direct and remote observational techniques in the ocean. Dr. Garrett holds a PhD in Physics (Oceanography). Geoffrey L. Holland joined 2WE Associates after a distinguished career in government, where he was responsible for the management and development of civilian oceanography in Canada. He has been chairman and a regular member of interdepartmental committees on water, environment, oceans, space and energy. He was responsible for Canada's international S&T relationships in ocean science, chairing panels and committees in Canada's relationships with China, Japan, Germany, France and Russia. His international recognition includes election as chair of the London Convention (1985-1990) and chair of the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission (1995-1999). J.A. Jeffrey Thompsonhas a broad base of experience as a research scientist in the marine and freshwater chemistry of metal and metalloid compounds, including organometallics. He has worked on the fate, distribution and chemical toxicology of contaminants in the environment, and has provided advice on ocean disposal problems. His work incorporates modern statistical methods of sampling design and data analysis. Dr. Thompson has been active as a senior executive in national and international science organizations. He holds a PhD in Chemistry and is a Fellow of the Chemical Institute of Canada. Robert C.H. (Bob) Wilson has held leadership positions in environmental science, focusing on the effects of human activities on the envionment. He has worked on many of today's environmental issues, including the design and implementation of monitoring programs, fish habitat issues, environmental indicators and state of environment reporting, pollution effects, managing and protecting Canada's coastal zone, and the environmental effects of resource extraction and processing. He has been active in international organizations concerned with freshwater and marine environmental quality. He holds an MSc degree in Biology (Limnology). |
